Bitrueplatform is a scam crypto trading platform which is being used by fraudsters to trick investors into parting with their cash.

Victims are being approached online via dating and social media platforms, befriended then lured into investing money on the platform with the promise of large returns.

However, no real investments are on offer and the scammers are blocking accounts when people try to withdraw their funds.

Often the scammers will ask for more money or fees to unblock an account, but this is just another way of extracting funds from the victim.

How to tell Bitrueplatform is a scam

Here are some of the things that give this scam away:

• The platform has partly appropriated the name of the legitimate crypto exchange Bitrue. They’ve also stolen the logo.
• There are no details about the team or company on the website.
• Numerous grammatical errors across the platform.
• No social media channels connected with the platform.
• No regulatory or licensing information.
• No contact details or physical location given.
• The site is very rudimentary with pixelated graphics.
• Multiple reports of the platform being a scam.

What should I do if I’ve been scammed by Bitrueplatform?

Always report a scam to the authorities in your country to help them with any investigations that may be active.
