Description:
The Web3 Backup Vault platform is a slick-looking yet completely fake website that’s being used to trick investors into transferring their funds for, among other things, safe keeping. Although the platform claims to offer crypto-related services, such as trading and staking, we’ve been contacted by several people who’ve been coerced into transferring their funds from cold storage to the platform for ‘added security’. The fraudsters are using platforms such as TikTok to garner enquiries before responding with instructions which they claim are designed to help. In reality these instructions enable the scammers to steal the coins belonging to anyone who goes along with them.
