Coinxcrypto is a fake crypto investment platform that works in tandem with fraudsters operating a pig butchering scam.

This is where would-be investors are befriended on social media or dating websites, encouraged to invest in the platform then gradually persuaded to part with all their money which is then stolen.

Investors are promised high returns and shown fake profits at the start of the scam. But they’ll soon find their accounts blocked and the scammers demanding fees to release the funds.

Any further payments made in response to these demands will also be stolen.

How to spot the Coinxcrypto scam

While the Coinxcrypto website appears to be reasonably professional, look a little closer and there are plenty of things that give it away.

They include:

• A domain name that was registered quite recently.
• A very low Domain Authority (DA) score of 1.
• No online reviews on crypto websites or social media groups.
• Content that is littered with grammatical errors.
• Images that are clearly ‘stock’ photos scraped from other sites.
• Links to platform-specific social media channels that go nowhere.
• None of the official regulatory or company information that you’d expect.
• Multiple links to internal pages that don’t go anywhere.
• A fake address in New York that does not house any business of this name.
• Numerous reports online that Coinxcrypto is a scam that steals people’s money.

Is there anything I can do to get my funds back from Coinxcrypto?

Unfortunately, there’s not a lot you can do to recover your funds from crypto scammers yourself.

However, you should keep a careful note of all the scammer’s details and any transaction IDs involved in the process and pass these on to the authorities.
