Deficloud166 is a scam platform that claims to offer USDT cloud mining to investors looking for high returns.

However, it’s clear from the start that this is a fake platform as it’s not possible to mine USDT (aka Tether) for these reasons.

The Deficloud166 follows a similar pattern to many other pig butchering scams in that victims are contacted at random through social media platforms by the fraudsters.

They’re befriended under false pretences before the conversation turns to crypto investing and they’re directed to the Deficloud166 platform and promised high returns by joining a mining pool.

However, when they’ve made significant deposits on the platform their account will be blocked, and the scammers will demand a payment to release the cash in the form of ‘taxes’ or other fees.

This is just another way of extracting as much money as possible from the victims, who won’t see any of their funds returned.

Deficloud166 red flags

This scam is easy to spot for a number of reasons, including:

  • Very amateurish design, including pixelated images.
  • Garbled, grammatically incorrect text that makes no sense.
  • The whole premise of the platform is fake as you can’t mine USDT.
  • Dozens of links and icons that don’t work.
  • A very new domain name with hidden registrant’s details.
  • A Domain Authority (DA) score of 1 indicating very little traffic and no inbound links.
  • Promises of the investment being ‘zero risk’, which is never true.
  • No social media links or apps.
  • No client reviews or online chatter about the platform.
  • No corporate information, or details of the team behind the platform.

You should avoid investing any funds in the deficloud166 platform as they will be lost.

Help, I’ve been scammed by Deficloud166!

We’ve compiled a number of resources that you might find useful which you’ll find at the bottom of this page.

Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to get your money back from the scammers, but you should still report what’s happened to the authorities.

However, there are private companies that might be able to help which I’ve written about here.
