What is the Xextrax platform?
Xextrax claims to be a crypto investment platform that offers ‘next-level trading beyond the ordinary’ to users.
In addition to crypto, it also states that users can participate in a wide variety of alternative asset classes and markets from around the world.
The website also claims that Xextrax has won multiple awards for its trading offering, specifically in the binary options sector. However, the wording under the awards appears to relate to a completely unrelated, well-known trading platform.
Other claims on the website include that the company has more than 1,000 employees worldwide, and was founded in 2013.
Red flags about the Xextrax platform
Despite the claims made on the website, there are multiple red flags that suggest that all is not as it seems.
They include:
The domain name was only registered a couple of months before the time of writing which directly contracts the claim relating to trading history on the Xextrax website.
There are no social media channels connected with the platform, nor are there any reviews on independent platforms across the web which is unusual for a company of the size that it claims to be.
We couldn’t find any regulatory or licensing information about Xextrax, nor any information about the team behind the platform.
Additionally, the phone numbers give on the site are just a string of zeros, rather than genuine numbers.
Online reviews and reports
As mentioned, we couldn’t find any genuine user reviews about Xextrax, or any comments from investors about the services offered.
The site itself does feature what it claims are reviews from satisfied customers, but it’s highly likely these are not genuine and that the images that accompany them have either been generated by AI or scraped from other sites.
Is Xextrax legitimate or fake?
Looking at everything that we’ve seen when examining the Xextrax platform, it appears that this is not a genuine trading service and that it’s likely operating as part of a scam.
The lack of any kind of traceable evidence about the platform’s track record, team or historical performance makes it likely that the site is fake and that no genuine trading functionality is actually offered.
We believe the platform may be being used to lure would-be investors in the scam investment propositions involving cryptocurrency or other asset classes, possibly as part of a pig butchering scam.
Is it safe to invest on Xextrax?
No, we don’t believe it’s safe to invest in the Xextrax platform for the reasons detailed above.
It’s highly likely that you’ll lose any money you invest here and potentially more. Scams like this often involve repeated demands for spurious release fees, taxes, AML charges etc which are entirely fraudulent and just another way of extracting money from unsuspecting investors.
It’s best to avoid the Xextrax platform and do not send any funds to anyone who says they’re connected with this platform.
What to do if you’ve lost money
If you’ve already invested with the Xextrax platform you may find it difficult to get your funds back.
It’s likely that you’re also being asked to pay extra fees or taxes to secure your funds but, as we’ve covered, this is all part of the scam.
If you discover that you’re being scammed, the first thing you should do is gather as much evidence as possible about what’s happened.
This includes keeping emails, messages, wallet addresses and any other information you have in relation to the so-called investment.
If you’ve used a bank account to transfer funds to the platform you should also notify your bank about what’s happened as soon as possible.
How we can help
Recovering scammed cryptocurrency can be extremely difficult, but there are potentially a couple of ways that you might be able to recoup some of your funds depending on the exact circumstances of what’s happened which we can talk through with you.
We can also help establish if another investment platform you’re considering investing with is legit or fake before you part with any cash.
