The dnho999 scam crypto trading platform differs slightly from many of the others I’ve seen in that it uses a logo ripped off from a major genuine crypto site.

When you land on the platform you’ll see the OKX logo at the top of the page. OKX is completely legitimate and one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges.

OKX has nothing whatsoever to do with this platform.

However, the site identity is confusing as further down the page there’s a message that reads ‘welcome to Bbucoin’.

So, we’ve got the URL of dnho999, the ripped off OKX logo and the scammers calling the site ‘Bbucoin’ – if this isn’t enough to make you run a mile, I don’t know what is.

How to tell dnho999 is a scam crypto site

Aside from the logo which might make some people pause, the rest of the platform is straight out of the scammers handbook.

Here are just a few of the things that give it away:

  • The domain is very new.
  • There is no content on the site.
  • All the links simply redirect to a login page.
  • The platform has no social media presence.
  • There are no apps for the platform.
  • The design is extremely basic and has no functionality.
  • The branding is clearly confused and fake.
  • The only reviews online point to the site being a scam.

There’s nothing about this site that’s genuine and it should be avoided at all costs.

It is 100% fake and anyone who claims they’ve profited from it is part of the scam group behind it.

How does the dnho999 scam work?

Victims are usually contacted via social media, quickly befriended and told about a get rich quick crypto investment scheme.

They’re then directed to a platform on WhatsApp, Telegram or similar where there will be fake messages from people claiming to have profited.

Once the victim has been lured into investing they’ll see their profits increase rapidly but it’s all fake and they won’t be able to withdraw them.

The scammers will then demand a tax or similar payment in order to release the victim’s money, but this is just another way to steal more cash.

Can I get my crypto back from the dnho999 scam?

Unfortunately it’s very difficult to get your coins back from the scammers.

You might be able to trace where they’ve gone, but actually retrieving them is a different matter.

However, you should always report the scammers to the authorities in your country and to any crypto exchange that might have been used as part of the scam.

The links below might give you some further ideas on how to recover your coins.
