What is the Validwallet platform?
The Validwallet platform claims to be ‘the future of digital assets’ by offering a secure trading environment for cryptocurrencies, together with a wallet to store them in.
As soon as you visit the site you’re greeted with a sign-up screen which users are forced to complete if they want to continue using the platform.
There is no other obvious information about the services provided, aside from claims that the website offers ‘bank-grade security’ and ‘instant transfers’.
Red flags and concerns about Validwallet
While it’s difficult to establish much about the content of the platform due to a lack of information given, there are a number of obvious red flags that suggest it may be a scam.
The first is that the domain is very new – just three months old at the time of writing – yet users have told us they’ve been given the impression that the platform has been operating for many years.
Additionally, the lack of transparency about the company, regulatory status or team members is a warning signal that something could be amiss.
Add this to the lack of social proof and it becomes clear that this is a platform that you should approach with caution.
Reviews and warnings about Validwallet
We’ve found that Validwallet has a very low trust score on several major ranking websites which suggest that it may be operating fraudulently.
These reviews added to the reports that have been submitted to The Crypto Adviser imply that many investors feel that they have been scammed by Validwallet.
Is Validwallet legit or a scam platform
Putting all the information together, it’s our verdict that Validwallet is very likely to be a scam and not legit at all.
Anyone thinking about using this platform or investing money here should be aware that they could lose all their funds.
It has all the hallmarks of a scam whereby investors are encouraged to get on board with the promise of large profits, but when they come to withdraw their cash they’re blocked from doing so.
Then, the scammers demand further payments in order to release the original investment, but if the victim pays these fees this money will also be stolen.
What to do if you’ve lost money
You should always report what’s happened to your bank, crypto exchange (if relevant) and the police.
Keep a record of any emails or messages you’ve exchanged with the people behind a platform, together with any wallet addresses used or transactions made.
This information may be useful at a later stage so keeping an organised record of everything that’s happened is essential.
Crypto recovery from Validwallet
Recovering funds from scam crypto platforms is incredibly difficult and anyone who suggests otherwise is likely to be a scammer themselves.
Two options to consider are pursuing your bank for a refund or compensation, which you can do yourself or with the help of a solicitor, or crypto tracing.
Solicitors tend to work on a no-win, no-fee basis while crypto tracing usually requires an up-front fee to conduct an investigation.
If you’d like further information about either of these options, please get in touch.
