Avoid The Picachain Scam Crypto Trading Platform

Picachain is a scam crypto exchange which claims to offer Bitcoin and digital currency trading but instead is designed to steal you cash.

While the Picachain platform looks relatively professional at first glance, there is little substance beneath the surface and plenty that reveals it to be a scam.

The person who contacted The Crypto Adviser about this platform had unfortunately been persuaded to invest by someone they’d met online in a classic ‘pig butchering’ scheme.


This involved them being contacted at random and befriended over a period of weeks before being persuaded to invest money in a crypto trading scheme.

Their new ‘friend’ claimed they could realise huge profits in a short space of time and that the returns were ‘guaranteed’.

Once the victim had invested a significant amount of cash, which involved transferring it from their bank to a crypto exchange where they converted it to USDT (Tether) stablecoin before sending it to the platform, they saw their ‘profits’ rapidly increase.

But when they tried to withdraw their funds and supposed new-found wealth, their account was blocked, and they were told they needed to deposit more cash in order to do so.

This was another trick by the scammers to extract more money from the victim and would only have resulted in a more extensive loss if it had been paid.

Picachain scam giveaways

Spotting the Picachain scam is relatively easy if you know what you’re looking for.

Giveaways include:

  • A newly registered domain name.
  • No regulatory or corporate information on the website.
  • A Domain Authority (DA) score of 1 meaning the site gets little inbound traffic and as no external links.
  • No online reviews in the places you’d expect to find them.
  • Mentions of Picachain being a scam on other platforms.
  • No apps in the official app stores.
  • Claims to be registered with the ‘Polish regulator’ but there is no record of this.
  • The social media icons on the platform do not link anywhere.
  • There is no real functionality to the website as it’s basically a cookie cutter shell.

We’re convinced that Picachain is a scam platform so you should steer clear and not invest any money here.

If you have lost money to this scam, you should always report it to the authorities, although you should manage your expectations about what they’ll be able to do.
