Digital Finance Markets is a scam trading platform which supposedly offers access to a series of trading options involving crypto, Forex and stocks.

However, the site is operating in conjunction with a WhatsApp group as part of an elaborate scam to lure unsuspecting investors into parting with their cash.

No trading is actually offered on the Digital Finance Markets platform – it’s a shell site designed to convince people that it’s a legitimate financial entity.

Once investors are sucked into the scheme they’ll find that when they come to withdraw their funds their account will be locked.

The scammers will then ask for additional payments to be made for ‘fees’, ‘commissions’ or any number of spurious reasons, however this money will be stolen too.

Digital Finance Markets scam giveaways

There are a number of ways to tell that Digital Finance Markets is a scam.

They include:

• Unsolicited approaches to would-be investors via social media.
• No content of any substance on the website and what is there often doesn’t make sense.
• No social media platforms – any legitimate company would have these.
• No official app store apps – as above.
• No information about the company, location or team.
• Digital Finance Markets claims to be ‘licensed and regulated’ but it isn’t.
• Very new domain name – always a red flag.
• Exaggerated claims about the number of users and assets under management which don’t tally with the age of the domain name.
• Low trust score on many scam warning platforms.
